I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and sold my first commissioned pet portrait at the age of sixteen. Art, and a great fascination & love for animals, are two of the constants in my life, and I an immensely grateful to be able to unite both as a full-time artist.

I am a member of the AKC Museum of the Dog Artists' Registry. My portraits hang in private collections all around the world, and last year one of my paintings appeared on the cover of The Shepherd's Dogge.

Inspiration comes mainly from my clients, and their neverending devotion to their four-legged companions. I delight in trying to create the texture of soft fur on a flat canvas, and bring out the spirit of an animal through their eyes. This is where I begin my painting, where I focus my attention, and the base upon which the rest of the portrait grows. Slowly, and to my neverending delight, the little details and personality of my subject come to life on the canvas before my eyes.
