Hi! I`m an equine and nature artist, and enjoy very much what I do, since this so often puts me in direct touch with an animal that I love so much.

I am basically a self taught artist with the exception of a few community college class. My interest in drawing started when I was young. My father would draw for us as kids (I am the middle child of 9 girls) and explain how to correctly draw the animal so each proportion would be right on. We would then be allowed to color what he had drawn or draw something ourselves. Unfortunately I never kept any of them. Even today my father remains my best critic. My father also loved the horse, and while growing up there was always a horse around and any farm animal you could imagine. I do have a horse story or two to tell.

I am married to Art (no really this is my hubby's name), I have 3 girls, all of whom are married. There are 5 grandchildren. Also there are 3 son-inlaws, really great guys. My heavenly father has truly blessed me with this wonderful family, and so it is with this great joy that I continue to paint all that God has created.

I now live on a farm,since it is only two miles from the river(at least the way the deer walk) there is always an abundance of wildlife that walks across my yard. Giving me ample opportunity to photograph and paint.

The Mediums with which I work are in graphite, color pencil, acrylic and oils. I paint on most any surface. Quite frequently I have commissioned work on painted saws of all shapes and sizes.

I am a teacher of graphite and painting. At present I am employed at the Art Centre in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. My work has sold all over the world , as far away as Korea, Aruba and U.S.A. and of course Canada.
