About me and my artwork:

I have been drawing and painting animals for as long as I can remember and spent most of my free time either drawing my pet cat and dogs or riding and drawing horses. I have always loved horses, riding them, watching them and ofcourse drawing and painting them.

I spent four years at Art School studying graphic design and illustration - but always returned to drawing animals.

I paint using water colours and gouache which gives a delicate and detailed feel to the picture. I also work with both graphite and coloured pencils.

I think it is vital to try to bring out the character of the animal in the painting or drawing. Every animal owner knows that their animals have very distinct personalities - They may not be able to speak but the expressions on their faces can speak volumes.
