About Me
From an early age I was always engaged in the visual arts, exploring various subjects, mediums and materials. I followed the classical tradition and studied fine arts in the studio of an individual master painter and sculptor, in my case, the studio of Italian artist Francesco Grazioli where instruction centered on the study of the human figure.
Expanding on that background, my artistic expressions incorporate that other passion I had while growing up, the passion for animals. I view my pet portraiture, animal paintings and wildlife illustration as an exploration of the eloquence and mystery of the animal world that continually fascinates, draws and delights me today.
The main body of my work has been with dogs. I am interested in all the breeds. But I also portray cats, horses, domesticated animals and wildlife, as well as occasionally, the human animal.
Primarily I work in the medium of pastels, but I also work with oil paints. |
