Art and animals have
always played a major role in Heather's
life. From the time she was a teenager
selling quick sketches at local dog shows,
she knew she wanted to be an animal artist.
|
|
After attending Art School
at Algonquin College in Ottawa ON., Heather
officially began her art career painting
commissions of dogs, horses, and cats.
Over the years, her paintings have travelled
across Canada, the United States and to
Europe.
|
|
In non-commissioned work,
she likes to tell a story that portrays
that wonderful human/animal bond or that
shows animals interacting among themselves
or just at ease in their environment.
|
|
As well as commissions
and paintings, Heather has an extensive
line of Hasti-notes depicting most dog
breeds as well as cats and horses.
|
|
Heather is a member of
the Equine Art Guild and lives in a quiet
village near Ottawa ON. with her husband,
a cat, four shelties and an elderly morgan.
