About Me
Creating unique sculpted polymer clay Wall Hangings for the discerning dog lover. All breeds and mixed breeds sculpted into a very unique one of a kind wall hanging, painted with highest quality artists acrylics, also incorporating glass,metals,and other media into the works at times. I work from your photo(s)/color copies that can be sent snail mail, or emailed. Also many beautiful pieces on hand,for sale-many different breeds. Works come with a "Certificate Of Authenticity" in a clear plastic sleeve, signed and dated by the artist.
Reasonable priced artwork, starting at $70.00 experienced shipping by Priority post with insurance. One-half purchase price required as deposit, must be made via snail mail (USPS);both personal checks and money orders accepted. References are available.
From start to finish 4-8 weeks turnaround time. From your color copy/photo I do a rough sketch, this sketch is then emailed to you for approval;
then I sculpt the subject in polymer clays, sometimes using different colored clays in addition to the painting with highest quality "Golden Fluid" brand and "Liquitex" brand artists acrylics after firing the piece. Metal wire is incorporated inside the clay at delicate points to add strength. Beautiful glass eyes, and attention to detail and bone structure allow finished works so close to your photos/color copies that I have been told many times "it looks like you traced it!" The professional style wire hang loop(s) are sculpted into the back of the piece, thus ensuring that they will never come out. The other choice for hanging is brass plated chain imported from Italy-you may see a piece with the attached chain hanger in my Galllery. Cloth is applied to back of the piece to cushion the work as it hangs on your wall. A clear sealer is used over the paint to protect it.
My Wall Hangings are wonderful memorials for a dear departed friend,and a touching reminder for any special occasion. Many times folks have been brought to tears seeing thier Wall Hanging for the first time; of a beloved canine friend.
I have a background in showing/training/breeding dogs, and we currently own 6 dogs. In my life dogs have been a constant source of unconditional love and support, and comfort. And, they continue to be. I have studied canine anatomy, so I understand the bone structure under the "coat".
Although I am only a hobby artist, I made it into "The National Dean's List, 12th Edition, Volume 1, 1988-1989" for my studies at "Columbus College Of Art and Design", one of the top producing art colleges in the USA.
Also creating most other animals. Cows, pigs, horses, birds. etc..
Also creating painting in watercolours, and acrylics, and pen/ink drawings from your photographs.
