About Me
Catherin resides in Australia with her husband, 2 daughters and an array of animals. Her love of art comes from her father who was a keen oil painter in his later years.
I have an intense love of nature and all the animals that reside within. From dogs to tigers. I work exclusively in Chalk Pastels to achieve my photorealistic artwork.
Catherin works from reference photos to create beautiful immortalisations of pets and wildllife. The problem with animals is that they just dont sit still long enough to draw to the level of detail I wish to achieve.
Throughout the year Catherin has donated a number of works to dog and big cat rescue societies to help raise money.
Earlier this year 2006 Catherin won an award for the Best in Overall Competition at the Les amis de chats in France. A postcard exhibition depiciting cats. The money raise helped to desexed the many unwanted and feral cats of the local area.
