Various influences can be seen in Cynthia's watercolor brushwork. Cynthia studied Classic Chinese Brush Painting with Chiang Kai Chung
at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. Further inspiraton came from her studies at the Massachusetts College of Art; from Kaji Aso
in his Boston studio; and from Mizufune, who gave classes in traditional Japanese printmaking at the Putney School in Putney, Vermont,
where Ms. Crawford spent her last two high school years.
